It has been a tedious, but great learning experience. To help run and operate a Barber College inside of a community college is way different from operating your traditional Barber College. Although sometimes it may get a little difficult. It has also been and enlighten opportunity. I have had to learn how to work with software's that I have never worked with before such as D2L and more, how to create a syllabus and course outline under the schools' guidelines and format. Although I must say that this year two has already started off great, I have picked up a great mentor out of Dr. Evans. I have built a better relationship with Dean. Helwig with learning what she like and how she would like things to operate and what is required out of _ me. All while introducing myself to other staff and other departments throughout the building and everyone has welcomed you with open hands. While they assure me that they are just one call away. I have so many ideas for the future that would expand us and take us to another level, and I can’t wait to introduce them. We have cut at multiple high school events. I have set up a monthly arrangement with Jesse Jackson Senior home for haircuts once a month. I also made arrangements for our students to compete in the first Barber battle. Which is one of the biggest ones in Illinois, the major league Barber hair show. Plus, more. South suburban barber college is just getting started.
